    Hello,

We are using Haar to design our new website. Regardless of the tutorials and the video demo available on WPBakery's help page, there is no option to enable their front end code editor in our installation. The instance of its mention appears to be missing from WPBakery PageBuilder > General settings

We also followed their instructions from the FAQ provided and edited its config file to enable the front end editor. Nothing changed.

So, since Edge Themes comes pre-bundled with this plugin and pretty much requires it in order for us to continue our work, we were wondering how to enable the frontend editor.

At the same time, the backend editor does not hone the changes made using the builder below the main content box - the elements don't even show up. This basically means that our team's editor, who is the site's content writer, would have to write shortcode herself and figure out complicated CSS class names from the source files, which she is not comfortable with.

So, to sum it up: what we need is for the front end editor to function and the backend elements to work in unison. I, the team leader, have previously used WPBakery with other major popular frameworks and there were not issues present. We are using XAMPP on a local machine for testing purposes, so if that could impact the framework and third-party plugins' usability, that would be helpful to know as well.

Thanks for tips and please, do give us a concise response that a novice user can understand as well.

    Have a great Saturday!

    Hello,

Welcome to your support management and thanks for choosing Haar!

We disabled Visual Composer - Frontend editor in all our themes, reason for that is that some of our shortcodes use advanced JavaScript functionalities, and these elements will not get displayed correctly until you refresh the page after adding them.

You can still enable the Frontend editor by editing this file:
    wp-content/themes/haar/framework/modules/visualcomposer/visual-composer-config.php

And remove the entire 'vc_disable_frontend' function:

Also, for any other issue you are facing please feel free to ask us and we will assist you as soon as possible. We will give our best to help setting up your site.

    Best Regards,

Thank you, this worked like a charm. But we got a little PHP warning. Would you recommend disabling the debug mode or something else? Thank you.

Warning: call_user_func_array() expects parameter 1 to be a valid callback, function 'haar_edge_configure_visual_composer_frontend_editor' not found or invalid function name in C:\xampp\htdocs\wordpress\wp-includes\class-wp-hook.php on line 286
